No Friends

The article written by Alonso Kramer

We wanted to be sure and move after the school year ended, so the kids could start fresh at their new school in the fall. I’m still glad we did that, but the only down side is they know absolutely no kids here yet, and so are bored out of their minds. We’ve been doing “friend walks,” around the neighborhood where we literally knock on the doors of any house that has bikes in the yard, or a swing set. I feel bad for the kids because in our old neighborhood, they had a ton of friends. I know they will here too, it just takes time. Once the school year starts, I’m sure they will meet lots of kids on the bus and at school, and once they figure out they live in the same neighborhood, they will set up play dates with each other. I told my husband that today I am going on to get some tv services hooked up, so at least the kids can watch their favorite shows.
